ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2018 Submission.

My career in art and design has been focused on animals, depicted in stone and wood sculpture, bronze sculpture, precious metal jewelry, Steuben Glass designs, and in mixed media. For me, a beginning point is exploring an animal's personality and anatomy. With aesthetics in mind, those qualities can then be sculpted to convey beauty, humor and action. The title of this marble carving, "99% You", speaks to the DNA we share with Chimpanzees and to our commonality with the world around us. The Sterling Silver Chimpanzee Necklace gives the opportunity to wear this cherished cousin close to our heart and with us each day.
