In the very beginning, nature and the human race existed in a symbiotic relationship. Humans existed and benefited off the earth without causing any great harm to nature. So far we have progressed in our evolution that now our relationship with earth has become a parasitic one, in which we are slowly killing our host. The death of the host implies the death of the parasite and we as a race don't seem to understand that. Rather than adjust our behaviors to co-exist with nature in a relationship we can both benefit from, humans continue their path of destruction. We are slowly losing everything that is beautiful about our planet, and once something is gone it cannot be brought back. As an artist I like to create art as a kind of memorandum of what we

can potentially lose. The fragility of the glass represents the fragility of the relationship this

species has with their title as either endangered or extinct.
